Coniston Capital is the investment management vehicle of Rick Patterson. He is a Director of Global Weather Corporation and RedShelf, Inc.
Rick was a founding partner of Spire Capital, having been with the firm since its inception in 2000. Prior to co-founding Spire Capital, Rick co-founded Waller-Sutton Media Partners, a private equity fund focused on the media and communications industries. Previously, Rick was a partner at Waller Capital Corporation responsible for providing merger and acquisition, as well as equity and debt capital private placement advisory services to the media and communications industry. Rick began his career as a banking officer at Mellon Bank, where he provided debt capital to media and communications companies.
Rick received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the College of the Holy Cross and a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance and International Business from Columbia University. Rick is a Trustee of the College of the Holy Cross and Co-Chairs the Institutional Advancement Committee and sits on their Investment and Finance Committees. Rick is the Co-Chair of The Campaign for Holy Cross.
Rick is the former Chairman and Director of the Professional Bull Riders, Inc. He was formerly the Chairman of Highline Media LLC and Highline Financial, and a Director of Ariston Global, AssetNation, SkyMall, Inc., Velocity Technology Solutions, Inc., Horizon Telecom, Inc (parent of Vivax, Inc.) InFlow, Inc., Innerhost Inc., KMC Telecom Holdings, Inc., and Regent Communications, Inc.
